Who has the Responsible for developing seasonal design concepts and designing silhouettes for either item or group lines. Specific experience in a category or price point may be expected (e.g., children’s, lingerie, knits, bags, jewelry, etc.). Forecast trends, research fabrics and trims for seasonal concepts, recommend seasonal themes, provide direction for color, silhouette, fabrics, etc.Design seasonal looks by sketching and sampling, interface with in-house buyers, consult with technical designers, approve sample garments, create presentation boards.Need good taste, marketing skills, communicate seasonal direction, good knowledge of fabrics and trims, know presentations and sketching/boards/patterns.
